We love spending time at Hubbard's Hills in Louth. It is one of those places where all you need is a picnic and some sunshine and you can enjoy a whole day of family fun. During summer, as we were preparing to go out for a picnic, Carl discovered a roll of expired film in a drawer, so it became the perfect excuse for a spontaneous photo shoot. We grabbed the camera, put in the film and off we went.Read More
Well, we did it! We ventured into the world of wedding fairs (or fayres, we’re never sure either). Having been to many different wedding fairs when we were looking to get married and a few more to decide on where to do our first one as photographers, we finally plumped for the Bailgate Wedding Fayre in Lincoln. A series of beautiful Lincoln wedding venues & some amazing Lincolnshire wedding suppliers.Read More
There was something special about our family shoot with Shirley and Roger. From the moment we arrived at their home, we were treated like friends. Capturing their family portraits in their Lincolnshire home during the British summer made things a little more nerve-wracking. The photoshoot was a wedding anniversary gift for each other, as they wanted to capture their family together and capture some memories.Read More
Remember June? All that beautiful sunshine that seems a long time ago as we near the end of a pretty dismal summer of British weather. As well as beautiful sunshine, June was when we saw the most beautiful display of British flowers I think we have ever seen..
The ingredients were simple. Take the beautiful, historic, Petwood Hotel in Woodhall Spa, add in one very talented floral designer in the form of Shirley Dee from S&A Floral Designs, mix with a beautiful array of British Flowers and you have the stunning display that was the Petwood Hotel entrance for British Flowers week.
It was great to see the display come together from scratch and also to hear all the comments from visitors as we were taking photographs. Everybody who walked past commented on the beauty of the flowers and the aroma was unmistakably that of an English country garden.
Lastly we cannot say how beautiful the work of Shirley Dee from S&A Floral Designs is. If you are looking for beautiful flowers for weddings, special occasions, or just because, then make sure you look her up.
Take a look below to see the beautiful work.
We had the pleasure of photographing family portraits of Nicky Carly & Frank a little while back.
We shot these portraits at their Lincolnshire home. With Carly having additional needs, photographing her in her own environment helped both her and Nicky relax. It also meant we got to meet Frank, their gorgeous, but slightly boisterous dog, who played the role of the loveable rogue throughout the shoot. He did however do as he was told at the very end of the shoot, which allowed us to capture the four legged member of the family (after bribing him with an appropriate amount of treats).Read More
Tom & Kelly first met at school, in fact they met at the same school where Tom now works as a teacher.
Their beautiful Lincolnshire wedding took place at Kenwick Park Hotel in Louth. This was the first time we had the pleasure of photographing a wedding at Kenwick Park and we hope it will not be our last. We arrived as we normally do, at the start of bridal preparations. The atmosphere had that sparkle that, luckily, we as wedding photographers get to experience at every wedding. It is so special being invited into the inner sanctum of a wedding day, capturing the bride and her best of friends at their most intimate point of the day.Read More
Sometimes, it feels like there are never enough hours in the day. I'm sure it's not just us who feels this way. Since our son was born, time seems to gone by even faster.
This month he turns 5 and yet it only feels like yesterday we were bringing him home from hospital for the very first time.
I guess this is why our clients are so happy when they receive their prints. A photo freezes a snapshot of time, one that will never happen again, but can instantly be relived, even in our incresingly busy lives.
While we sit here typing this blog post, Lisa looked up to the prints of our son on the wall, taken a year apart and said "you never see the change day to day, it's only when you look back."
As he approaches his birthday, it's good to look back on those photos. If only to remind us when he is playing up that actually, he is an amazing little man that never fails to make us smile, laugh and astonish us every day.
To say we are over the moon is an understatement!

April saw our first wedding at the beautiful Kenwick Park in Louth Lincolnshire. Kelly & Tom are childhood sweethearts and we couldn't have wished for more from our first wedding at Kenwick park. Beautiful surroundings, beautiful weather and a beautiful couple made our first Louth wedding one to remember. More to come from this beautiful wedding soon.
